Become a Baltimore Oyster Gardener!

Join the Great Baltimore Oyster Partnership this season to contribute to Chesapeake Bay oyster restoration efforts. Sunday, Novemeber 24th, we need your help to maintain our oyster habitats at Harbor East Marina. 

Volunteers will get their hands dirty scrubbing oyster cages and learning about this incredible keystone species.

Get ready to get creative with Mr. Trash Wheel! Join us on Thursday, Novemeber 21st at the historic Public Works Experience for Mr. Trash Wheel's Autumn Paint & Sip. You’ll paint your favorite trash wheel, complete with its iconic googly eyes, while enjoying drinks, great company, and historic ambiance of a unique museum located right by Mr. Trash Wheel!

Get ready to roll up your sleeves for Mr. Trash Wheel’s Dumpster Dive on November 16th, 2024 at Baltimore City ToolBank. Volunteers with channel their inner Oscar the Grouch as they dig, sort, and count through trash from one of Baltimore’s beloved Trash Wheels. The Mr. Trash Wheel family has collected over 1.8 million plastic bottles from the Baltimore Harbor since beginning operations in 2014. Let's help Mr. Trash Wheel reduce that number! Together, we’ll collect crucial data that helps us understand our city’s waste and support a Maryland Bottle Bill.

Come prepared to get dirty, have fun, and be part of a community working towards a healthy Baltimore Harbor. 

Join us for Trash Wheel Fan Fest Saturday, September 21st at 7PM! This year, we’re channeling the spirit of Ghostbusters with a trash-busting twist. We are busting trash by raising money for brand new booms for Professor Trash Wheel and coming together to support a MD Bottle Bill. Guests will enjoy a night of fun at Peabody Heights Brewery with incredible trash wheel fan art, all-you-care to-drink beer, and googly-eyed crafts and games. Jam out to ghostly beats and classic hits spun by DJ Eddible, shop Trash Wheel merch from Baltimore in a Box, and enjoy snacks from local food trucks.

Celebrate 10 years of Mr. Trash Wheel with Waterfront Partnership at a one-of-a-kind, not to be missed event! This family-friendly event will celebrate Earth Day and Mr. Trash Wheel’s birthday with an evening of art, artifacts and trashion with activities including entry to the Trashseum, a living litter sculpture garden by Fluid Movement, a DIY "trashion” crafting station, and more!
